Alas, all good things must come to an end. The fantastic Friday night ETA shows that we all enjoyed so much at Elements/Flamboro Downs came to an end this past weekend.

After his performance in front of a very appreciative and enthusiastic audience, ETA Anthony Von gave a heartfelt thank you to everyone, adding how much he was looking forward to performing at Elements/Flamboro in the months to come. Sadly, Anthony was obviously unaware as he spoke that the new owners are not booking any future shows at Flamboro Downs—not even in November as earlier reported. They have, instead, opted to replace the stage and lounge area with more slot machines. After Anthony’s outstanding performance on Friday night, I have to question their decision to cancel the shows that brought so much joy to so many people. A suggestion was made by ETA fan, Sandra, that we start a petition to encourage the decision-makers to bring back entertainment on weekends, particularly ETA shows on Friday nights.
