I always enjoy seeing friends that I have met through SB Mag at ETA shows, many of whom are featured above and in the album that follows. I have met a lot of people over the past five years, some in person and some via Facebook. At Gordon Hendrick’s show on August 20, 2022, I had the pleasure of meeting new people and putting faces to the names I see in FB comments. I wish to send a special hello to Maria (from Hamilton, ON), MaryAnn (a back-up singer whom you see in the photos retrieving her glasses from Gordon), Isabella (a young singer who had her debut concert in April at the same theatre), Elly (Danusa’s cousin visiting from Holland), and Tish’s mom, Lotte (who will celebrating her 85th birthday in September). The photos in the first grid are stored on my laptop in a file titled “GH and me_no feet” because in every one of the original photos, Gordon’s feet were cut off by an unnamed photographer. LOL. With some cropping, I was able to salvage the photos for the following spread that tells a story.

Ben and Macky stood patiently by the stage waiting to give Ultimate ETA Gordon Hendricks a beautiful poster that they had made for him. Gordon invited them on stage so they could present their handmade gift. Gordon graciously accepted their gift by saying that of all the gifts that Elvis Presley received in his lifetime, the ones that fans made for him meant the most.
